The Marin City Library is open 7 days a week. It is conveniently located in the Gateway Shopping Center at the corner of Donahue and Drake.
The Marin City Library has the largest computer lab in the Marin County Free Library (MCFL) system and offers hands-on technology mentorship and training, provided by the Marin WebStars. They library has:
14 Internet stations
1 ADA accessible Internet station
2 Research stations
2 Children’s stations
Free unlimited wireless access.
The WebStar program, based out of Marin City Library, trains young people as technology ambassadors. The WebStars then serve our community, offering tutoring and troubleshooting with the following:
Email, word processing, and basic hardware/software maintenance
Social media, blogging, and photo sharing
Webpage design, photo editing, and animation

The library also provides children’s storytimes for all ages and fun and thought-provoking programming for our community. Marin City Library offers two ever-expanding Urban Collections—adult and teen—that are unique to MCFL.
Library cards are free, and your Marin County Free Library card can be used at any public library in Marin. To get a card, visit the library with your photo I.D. and proof of address. If you are under 16, your parent or legal guardian must come with you to the library and bring their photo I.D. and proof of current address. The parent or legal guardian is responsible for items checked out on the child’s card and any related fines and fees.
